Istanbul to Ankara

We left the hotel on a walking tour and first stop was Topkapi palace. Explored outer coutyard and guide filled us in with a bit of history. This palace might be on our list for later. We then queued for the Blue mosque but before entering the ladies had to cover head shoulders and legs. We had been warned that this would be the case so we all had taken our colouful scarves to wear. Blue tiles cover the interior domes hence the name. Amazing but smelly as everyone had to remove their shoes before entering.  After lunch it was on the bus to Ankara which was a 6hr trip through pine forests and barren hills.
PS We are having trouble down loading photos due to poor wifi . We hope we can sort it out at the next stop..
