Konya to Antalya

Another 4hr bus trip crossing the Taurus mountain range which runs from the West to Syria.A great road  through forests of pines and spruce growing in limestone rock_ not ideal growing conditions so they dont grow huge. The mountains are 3500m at highest. Completely different scenery from yesterday when we travelled through farmland.Hay making is underway_not very efficently as the plots were so small , although they increased  in size as we got closer to Konya.
We had an interesting lunch of  Gozlene _ a very thin pancake thing filled with spinach, cheese and meat. Then we visited the Roman Theatre at Aspendos. _ considered the best preserved theatre in the ancient world. They still use it for opera and ballet events. It can seat 15, 000. It is very hot today at 41 deg but we are surviving by drinking lots of bottled water. We really appreciate the air conditioned bus when we return to it after our visits and walks.
As we near Antalya we get our first view of the Mediterranean.
